Melambes offers the visitor at least two walking and hiking routes.
Route 1: Melambes – Seli – Karopigadia – Holy Temple of Analipsis
This route is 6.8 km long with return, and it can be walked even by children. It is characterized as easy without any inclination. The walker has the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent view of imposing Psiloritis, bay of Messara, Paximadia islands, and Gavdos Island.
Route 2: Melambes – Alonaki – Sotiras Christos – Holy Temple of Profitis Ilias.
The route has a total length of 4.4 km with return, and it has intervals with a small but even greater inclination.
The visitor moves from 560 to 760 meters above sea level, enjoys a view of mountains Kentros, Asiderota, Psiloritis, and can also admire the Southern Cretan Sea and the beaches Triopetra, Agios Pavlos, Plakias etc.
